History and knowledge mediation in digital form: This page contains an overview of the digital offer available from the Foundation of Hamburg Memorials and Learning Centres.
Our digital offer includes three 360° tours of the buildings and outdoor premises at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial:
All the exhibitions at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial are accessible online at http://neuengamme-ausstellungen.info/ (German)
The Concentration Camp Memorial mobile App (German, English) offers you the option of exploring the premises both on site and at home, with a choice of 113 user-selectable stations. Available from the Google Play Store (Android) and the Apple App Store (Iphone)
Our digital audio tour (in German, English, Russian, Polish) is available under the ‘Audio Guides’ menu at www.museum.de; the tour will guide you to 12 selected locations at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial.
The commemorations marking the 75th anniversary of the Liberation have been relocated to a virtual space at the 75liberationwebsite. In these short video clips, survivors, relatives, politicians and the directors of the Foundation of Hamburg Memorials and Learning Centres and of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial explain in their own words what the anniversary means for them (in German, English and French).
Our WebApp (in German) is certainly well worth a look when preparing for a school trip to the Memorial Site with Year 9 pupils (and upwards). The App features the short biographies of various prisoners held at the Concentration Camp.
To research various topics from home, why not make use of our Open Archive digital learning workshop (in German, English, French and Russian). The database has a search function and features various media accessible online, including the contents of various exhibitions such as the Bullenhuser Damm Memorial, and a number of special exhibitions.
You can access our video series with online lectures and educational contributions via our Vimeo-Account.
The Foundation of Hamburg Memorials and Learning Centres is active on social media. We have uploaded information on topical issues, current events and the history of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp and its satellite camps on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
