School Visits

Please note:
The booking lead time for weekday morning events is at least 6 months. If multiple classes from your school are booking at the same time, the lead time is even longer. It is not possible to visit in the morning with your class without one of our guides. Please book directly through our booking service provider Museumsdienst Hamburg at info@museumsdienst-hamburg.de or by phone at +49 40 428 13 10.

Educational visits for schools can vary, depending on how long and how in-depth you want your learning experience at the Memorial to be.

We recommend booking longer pedagogical formats (project day or project plus) which offer activating methods. Please enquire which projects are currently offered in English. Our basic programme for school classes is the three-hour Project, in which groups are given an overview of the history of Neuengamme concentration camp and a tour of the main exhibition and grounds.
