Educational Partnerships

The Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial collaborates with schools to enrich their history and social studies curricula. We provide cooperation agreements based on our education partners’ needs, meaning projects and workshops can be adjusted to fit your school’s curriculum. Examples of how we cooperate with schools include projects such as our annual training course for pupil guides, programmes exploring artistic approaches to the memorial site, training courses for teachers, and programmes teaching pupils how to work with original sources.
The Memorial’s Education Department and Centre for Historical Studies also take part in educational projects that promote peace and democracy as well as initiatives against right-wing extremism and racism, and we are always looking for ways to support similar local, regional and national projects.
