A New Country Memorial Plaque at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial

The Foundation of Hamburg Memorials is set to lay a New Country Memorial Plaque during the commemoration events for the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the prisoners at the Neuengamme concentration camp. A large circular memorial plate list 70 countries with their current names from which prisoners at the Neuengamme concentration camp originated. Read more

Our new volunteers at the memorial introduce themselves!

Since September, three volunteers have been supporting us at the foundation: Gabriel, Ulyana (both Action Reconciliation Service for Peace) and Philipp (Voluntary Social Year for Culture, FSJ). They will spend a year exploring the different departments and areas of the foundation and the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial and realising their own projects. Read more
