In the summer of 1944, a satellite camp of Neuengamme concentration camp was established in Kiel, about which very little is known. Around 50 male prisoners had been selected by the SS for hard labour. They reached the camp in July and were forced to carry out clearance work throughout Kiel. The concentration camp prisoners were transported back to the Neuengamme main camp in September 1944.
