Public Transport

Starting from Hamburg Central Station, take the S-Bahn to Hamburg-Bergedorf. Buses depart regularly from Bergedorf central bus station (“ZOB”) to the memorial site. Departure times can be found on the HVV website: www.hvv.de/en

Please use the parking bays on Jean-Dolidier-Weg.

Would you like to take the bus to the commemorative events in Neustadt in Holstein and/ or join the boat trip to the sites where the prisoner ships sank? Which languages will the speeches be translated into?

On site, we will provide you with printed copies of the speeches in the following languages: German, English, French, Dutch, Polish, Spanish, Ukrainian and, if requested, in Danish.

Will photos or videos be taken?

Yes, photos and videos will be taken. These may be used for documentation purposes or in media reports.
