Please note the following important information if your take part in the event at the Klinkerwerk:
Is there a public bus service?
Yes, there are regular buses from Bergedorf station. You can find out about departure times on the HVV website: www.hvv.de/en
Are there parking facilities?
Yes, there are sufficient parking options in close proximity to the entrance at Klinkerwerk. Directions are provided at point 2 on the site map.
Do I have to bring a printed confirmation of registration with me?
No, you are registered with your name after registering online and do not need to bring a confirmation with you. However, you must carry and show your ID at the entrance.
I have a bag larger than DIN A4 with me – is there a cloakroom?
Yes, a cloakroom will be available free of charge for bags and luggage. Jackets will be taken into the venue.
Can I bring drinks with me?
Yes, but glass bottles are not permitted. Water is provided for guests in the Klinkerwerk.
Is the venue barrier-free?
Yes, the venue is barrier-free. Wheelchair-accessible entrances, sanitary facilities and, if necessary, special seating are available. Admission for people with limited mobility and their companion is via the first entrance (A1). If you require special assistance, please contact us in advance.

In which language will the speeches be translated?
The speeches are available on site in the following languages: Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Polish, Spanish, Ukrainian.
Are photos or videos taken?
Yes, photos and videos are taken. These can be used for documentation purposes or in media reports.
Will there be a live broadcast?
Yes, the commemorative ceremony at the Klinkerwerk will be broadcast live and can be followed via the NDR website.
Following the commemoration ceremony in the brickworks ("Klinkerwerk") of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial, a wreath-laying ceremony will take place at the International Monument. Due to the participation of the Federal Chancellor in the event, an extended security concept applies, which requires special procedures:
