We mourn the loss of our friend and companion Heidburg Behling (1939–2026)

Heidburg Behling passed away on April 30 after a brief but serious illness. For decades, she dedicated herself with great energy and compassion to supporting survivors of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp, maintained close ties with Israel and Eastern Europe, and served as a reliable and loving mentor to countless generations of young volunteers at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial in all circumstances.
