05/07/2010 Time witness, Project
By reason of the 65th anniversary of the end of World War II and the liberation of the concentration camps the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial invited concentration camp survivors from different countries from May 5 to 7, 2010. Each of the survivors brought one family member of the second or third generation. Together with staff members of the Neuengamme concentration camp memorial they discussed about the conveyance of memory concerning deportation and concentration camps as well as about perspectives of memory culture in families and societies. The results of these intergenerational discussions have been published in a brochure, including a DVD.
