From June 10 to July 3 the Foundation of Hamburg Memorials and Learning Centres Commemorating the Victims of Nazi Crimes is showing its new touring exhibition ‘Between Coercion and Concentration Camp. The Poor and the Marginalised in Hamburg during the Nazi Era’ at Hamburg City Hall. The exhibition will be complemented by an extensive accompanying programme of lectures, readings, theatre performances and tours throughout the city on the subject of persecution for socio-racist reasons. Hamburg Victims of Nazi Persecution after their Liberation" is the first special exhibition to be shown at the Neuengamme concentration camp memorial after the reopening of the museums and memorials. The exhibition reports on the experiences and living conditions of survivors of National Socialist persecution in Hamburg. How did they fare in the weeks and months after their liberation? Read more

On 4 November 2019 the special exhibition entitled "Some Were Neighbours" by the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) was inaugurated at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial by Prof. Dr Detlef Garbe (Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial), Dr Klaus Mueller (USHMM) and Darion K.
