Fuhlsbüttel Memorial

Fuhlsbüttel Concentration Camp and Penal Facilities 1933–1945 Memorial

This memorial was established in 1987 and redesigned in 2003. It is located in the former entrance building—a two-towered gatehouse—of the penal facilities which are still in operation. A plaque in the foyer lists the names of the prisoners killed in Fuhlsbüttel concentration camp and the satellite camp. An exhibition explores the history of the concentration camp and the fate of its prisoners. The exhibit includes numerous original artefacts and a reconstructed solitary confinement cell.

Opening hours: Sunday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and by appointment.
Admission is free.
