Neustadt in Holstein

From December 1944 to 1 May 1945, there was a satellite camp of Neuengamme concentration camp in Neustadt in Holstein. The around 15 male prisoners of this camp were assigned to the SS Central Construction Office in Neustadt and forced to build a hut for an SS military hospital. Nothing more is known about the Neustadt satellite camp, its working and living conditions, its leadership or its guards. At the end of the war, the prisoners were probably taken to the Baltic Sea on the ship “Westpreussen”, but their fate is unknown.
